Clymer books are the best

Not knowing much about the mechanics of recently purchased Harley Davidson Super Glide, I bought a Clymer so I can at least do my own oil changes. Turns out, there’s so much detailed information in this book, I decided to just read it from cover to cover, and already I learned a lot! Though I don’t plan on doing all the things in this book due to lack of specialty tools and experience, I still find it very interesting to read. Great book!

  1. No doubt I love this page! I rode a 1995 HD Fatboy for about 2 years and loved it. Didnt give me much trouble but had many close calls from auto drivers who dont care about other bikes..or cars for that matter. Wish I had this manual then too, it sure could have helped me breeze through some maintenance issues. Love the pics too.

    1. Hey Tom!

I can definitely relate to your story. You are absolutely right, drivers nowadays just act without thinking and have no consideration for offering a space cushion with those on motorcycles. Disturbing it is. Boy, have I been there when needing to complete a maintenance job and the manual was all I need to make a DIY job done 10x easier. Thanks for coming by and commenting! – The MK (The Manual King)

  2. I had a Honda Shadow growing up in the 1980’s. I have always wanted to get back into riding and get the itch every spring. Someday!!

    1. Thanks Ken for stopping by and leaving a comment. Yes, riding a motorcycle does have its thrills! If you ever hop on a bike again and need help with some DIY jobs – be sure to come back and take a look around, we may have what you’ll need! – The MK (The Manual King)

    1. So true Joe! We all experience the pain of an issue and the reward that comes with fixing it. It only feels right when someone understands the frustration and helps others gain useful information leading closer to their answer. Here at Letdoitmanual.com, we’re here to help! Glad that you enjoy!

  3. I wouldn’t ride a Harley becsaue with 31 degrees of maximum lean angle, I’d probably wipe out in the first curve. However, I would pick the Road Glide. It’s the only one with a frame mounted fairing. Those tacky little handle bar mounted fairings on their other bikes will try to take away your handle bars on a windy day.

  4. Oh my goodness! a tremendous article dude. Thank you Nonetheless I’m experiencing difficulty with ur rss . Dont know why Unable to subscribe to it. Is there anybody getting an identical rss drawback? Anyone who has fixed this problem kindly respond please. Thanks
